This is the little sister to my Dragonfly. Its a small signature body, 15.5 lower bout, 25.25 to 26.25 multiscale, lots of shell as you can see, bearclaw top, customer suplied braz B&S, 5 pc mahogany neck, braz headplate and backstrap, braz bridge, gold/ebonoid 510s.
armrest and ribrest are spanish cedar, then tinted dark brown. Binding is braz, purf lines are blk/blue/blk except on top, its blk/paua/blk. Has a stylized phoenix inlay at the 9th fret, in green and red ab.

This is one of the most beautiful guitars i've ever seen, are you trying to seduce me in following your courses? Just to make things clear between you and me, I DON'T HAVE THE MONEY RIGHT NOW OKAY! SO STOP IT!

That wood is just marvelous, i'm jealous with envy of playing it, how's the sound bud?

Really well done Tony, love the hole guitar or is that whole guitar...anyway, love the port and rib rest buddy, any chance of a closer look at that, and maybe a run down on how you go about fitting it, or is that un-fitting it?

Very pretty. Beautiful wood, attractive use of offseting on the peghead and bridge. Like your double neck Koa a while back, it's very inspiring.

BTW, how does the bridge placed at that angle effect the sound? Or is that more for aesthetic purposes?

Actually this one was sent ot the client out west a few weeks back, I just never got around to editing pix down to size until yesterday.

I have a rather large mp3 of the guitar, I need to figure out how to snip it down, then I can post that too. The guitar sounds very nice, jsut not as much bottom as a full size body, but its still all there. The PU system was client supplied, he uses a Fishman saddle to drive a Dtar preamp, with the bass boost, so the bottom is really stunning when plugged in, no worries there.

The bridge hsa to be angled to meet the scale requirements - remember this is a multiscale, or FanFret for you Novax folk.

As for fitting the ribrest, its the same as doing an armrest, just more curves to deal with when fitting the rest block internally, more hassle when shaping it internally as the neck block and changing grain directions mean you have to carve in different directions for the curves, then you have to S shape bend the binding pieces. Other than all that, its cake !!! I added internal veneers to reinforce the sideport area, double black on this one, no other colour lines like I sometimes do. Simply cut to shape and glue in with a foam lined caul. Then use a template to cut the hole. I have one to do this week, so I should take some pix of hte template - its pretty simple to make up. I route that in once the sides are kerfed, before the top and back go on.

As you can see, there is a bunch in behind on the wall awaiting binding and such .. just to the right is the padauk one I finished this week !!! And a cocobolo signature multi awaiting binding on the left - its one of the next to do once i get three more bods together this week .
